Company Background

RIWA Ltd was created in 2001 when a Management Team led by Peter Cottee purchased the products business of Terminix Europe, a leading pest control company. The acquisition encompassed the Insect-O-Cutor business worldwide, Paragon in the UK and RIWA bv in Holland.

The Insect-O-Cutor name has been in existence in the UK for many years and is recognised as the leading brand in the electronic fly-killer market. Insect-O-Cutors were first manufactured by the Simon Engineering Group in 1959 after which the company had a number of owners until acquired from Terminix in 2001.

The Paragon business was set up in 1998 to supply pest control products and equipment primarily to Terminix – the then parent company. Paragon then began to supply products to the pest control industry and now has over 160 customers most of whom are independent pest control companies. Paragon has very strong, loyal relationships with its pest control customers and it is through this that the Network will work.
